Assos Residence in Pateles Heraklion Crete

In one of the most attractive cities of the Mediterranean, in Heraklion, Crete, in the area “Pateles” we created a very impressive residential complex.

One of the most important bets that the architectural study was called to win, was the location of the building so as to make the most of the permeability of the plot, its orientation, accessibility from both roads and finally privacy.

The central compositional idea, which made the design stand out, is the creation of two buildings, with facades set back from the boundaries of the plot in order to give space to the landscaping while enhancing the privacy of the residences, and with green spaces on their central axis, intended for courtyards – gardens for exclusive use with swimming pools.

The guiding design principle in terms of volume and structure combines the symmetry of volumes, clean geometric axes and large openings, achieving a plasticity of form and an architectural unity adapted to the contemporary minimalist aesthetic.
