This is a co-funded program that incentivizes young people aged 19-39, with a subsidy of up to 75%, to improve the energy efficiency of their home, saving money and energy, thus increasing its value.

The selection of the applications will be made after the comparative evaluation between the submitted applications. For the best possible chances of approval, proper preparation of the study and the file is very important.

All young men and women born from 01/01/1984 to 31/12/2005, with a family income of up to 50.000 euros for their membership in "Exoikonomo" and up to 20.000 euros for their membership in "Anakainizo", are eligible to participate. 

* Owners of the property, with any right in rem and owning it, or being full owners, or usufructuary and renting it out, to join Youth Program "Exoikonomo".

* Owners of the property by full ownership and 100% percentage to join Youth Program "Anakainizo".

The detached house or apartment building as a whole building and the individual apartment that meets the following criteria:

  • It is used as a main residence, as indicated by the income tax return (E1).
  • It exists legally with a building permit.
  • Only one application per beneficiary's VAT number is allowed.
  • It has been classified, based on the Energy Performance Certificate (PEA) issued after 26/11/2017, in a category lower than or equal to energy class "C" and has not been scheduled for demolition.
  • For all types of applications (individual apartments, detached houses, apartment buildings), there must be a mandatory upgrade by at least three (3) energy categories compared to the classification in the 1st PEA, aiming to ensure a Primary Energy Saving of more than 30%.

 

For the legality of the residence, the applicant must present the relevant legalizing documents. Please note that the submission of the Electronic Building/Divided Property Identity will be required at a later stage regarding eligible applications.

Maximum eligible work budget:

Α. Energy-saving work

€22,500 per subsidized residence or €220/m² of the main residence.

Β. Renovation work

€10,000 per subsidized residence: up to €7,000 for renovation work and up to €3,000 for the supply of electrical appliances (up to 3 pieces).

The private participation of the beneficiary can be covered either with own funds or with a bank loan.

A loan application cannot be made only for the renovating part.

A. Energy-saving works

4 to 6 years with 100% interest subsidy

B. Renovation works

4 to 6 years loan term with a maximum loan amount of €7,000 and a subsidy covering 50% of the interest rate.

  • 100% of the cost subsidized by the project consultant's fee scheme
  • 100% of the cost subsidized by the program for versions A and B of First Energy Inspection
  • 100% of the subsidized cost covered by the program for the issuance of Electronic Building Identity

SUBSIDY RATES BY INCOME CATEGORY

The subsidy rate, in the YOUTH ENERGY SAVING-RENOVATE PROGRAM “EXOIKONOMO-ANAKAINIZO 2024″, reaches up to 75% and scales according to the amount of income.

The work budget reaches up to €32,500 per application.

 

If the applicant has many children, an additional grant (bonus) of +15% is provided. In the “Anakainizo” section, the grant rate is fixed at 30% (income limit of €20,000 applies).”

ELIGIBLE INTERVENTIONS

  • Installation of new heat-insulating/heat-break frames with double glazing (aluminum frames).
  • Aluminum frames including the glass panel to achieve the maximum energy upgrade.
  • Frame covers with a separate budget also participate in the program.

This category involves the installation of external thermal insulation. Internal thermal insulation is also installed when it is technically impossible or not permitted by current legislation to install external thermal insulation. Additionally, insulation is carried out on the property's roof and in the attic.

Thermal insulation of the remaining shell using heat-insulating materials. Where appropriate, the insulation is covered with organic coating or light curtains.

The installation of a new cooling-heating system is carried out using a renewable energy source or a high-efficiency cogeneration system of electricity and heat.

 

The installation or replacement involves all the electromechanical equipment of the boiler room and the distribution network. This includes installing a new oil burner and/or boiler system with a new natural gas system or replacing existing equipment. Costs for oil burner, oil tank, and output terminal units are excluded.

It involves the installation or replacement of a solar water heater for hot water supply.

The installation of a solar system for providing domestic hot water is mandatory for homes lacking a relevant installed system.

With new inverter technology, achieving energy class A+ and above (up to 3 air conditioners per house).

These interventions involve tasks and technologies that:

a) Adjust and maintain energy consumption at levels chosen by users to save energy,

b) Collect, analyze, and present energy consumption data,

c) Adjust and maintain shading levels to achieve optimal energy savings.
