Modern residential property, minimal aesthetics in Heraklion, Crete, in Mesampelies.
In a privileged corner plot, in Mesampelies, Heraklion Crete, with excellent orientation and the Cretan Sea view, we created the DANDELION RESIDENCE that stands out with its dynamism and minimal aesthetics.
The elements that connect the properties of the area are the relation of property volumes and uncovered spaces, in terms of the architectural scale and their coexistence with the rich natural environment.
In this study, in addition to the volume of the building, the goal of architectural coexistence with the environment led the researchers to reduce the energy footprint of the property.
Great emphasis was placed on the location of the builts, the relationship between them, the exploitation of their orientation and location, as well as the privacy and permeability of the apartments.
The exterior of the property is shaped with white linear elements combined with white solid parapet and awnings that surround the balconies at an alternating rate, double-skinned awning with the white surface on the lower side to assist indirect LED lighting and dark upper side to avoid reflections to the premises of lofts.
The use of vertical metal decorative elements that create visual filters in the balconies and gardens on the ground floor, in combination with the shell maintained in earthy color tones, follows a rhythmic symmetry that characterizes the composition as a whole and gives a visual harmony.
The functionality of the spaces was an important design parameter, while the full exploitation of the environmental conditions helped to meet the energy needs.
A particular challenge was the creation of a property of high standards, with the highest energy efficiency A +, which consistently serves the needs of its owners, with bright apartments that take full advantage of the orientations and strategically placed large openings, guided by aesthetics and functionality of the individual spaces but also of the whole.
The apartments are distinguished by ergonomics and functionality in all areas. The kitchens and bathrooms are individually designed for each owner and the choice of materials is based on his needs and preferences, with the constant support of our decorators.
